Resource Description:
3B-GENOME is a whole genome sequencing based test which covers the entire human genome. WGS tests have the highest diagnostic rate among all the other genetic tests, 7-8% higher than WES tests.This will provide the most comprehensive genetic information about the patients enrolled to pursue individualized treatment.

Comments:
3billion will provide 10 free 3B-GENOME Trio testing for selected applicants. Each test will include whole genome sequencing for the affected patient and 2 biological parents. Based on these genomic data and the given clinical phenotypes, 3billion will interpret the data and provide clinical grade reports.

These donations will be provided for recipients who meet the following criteria:

Pediatric patients: Aged 18 or below

History of medical examination by a medical professional and suspected of having rare genetic diseases with complex phenotypes

(Recommended) A previously done genetic counseling report
Agreement Structure
Consultation with 3billion

​Assessment: Selected applicants will consult with 3billion to determine if the 3B-GENOME test is indicated for their case.

Applicants are required to complete the supplemental form after submitting the primary application

Health Care Provider Engagement
​

Provider Coordination: If the 3B-GENOME test is indicated, the recipient’s health care provider (HCP) will work with 3billion to place the order. Preferred HCPs are those with experience in genetic testing, ideally medical geneticists or pediatricians familiar with genetic diseases.

Collaborative Process with 3billion

Account Creation: 3billion will assist in creating an account for the HCP.

Ordering: The HCP and 3billion will collaborate on the ordering process for the 3B-GENOME test.

Logistics and Shipping: 3billion will coordinate with the HCP to manage the logistics and shipping of biological samples.

Reporting: 3billion will work with the HCP to handle the reporting of test results.

Medical Consultation: 3billion will provide medical consultation in collaboration with the HCP.

Consent Requirement

Recipient Consent: Recipients must provide consent for 3billion's services throughout the process. A sample of the patient’s consent form is attached for reference.
