Hi everyone!
I’m Nicole Nolen, and I’m thrilled to be part of this amazing community. I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit of my journey. Growing up, my younger brother had an ultra-rare lysosomal storage disorder called mucolipidosis II, better known as I-cell disease. This condition affects nearly every part of the body and is ultimately fatal. As his big sister, playmate, best friend (and occasional rival), caretaker, and advocate, I had a front-row seat to the complexities and challenges of living with a rare disease.
That experience was transformative, giving me a deep understanding of the struggles families face and sparking my passion for science. I earned a master’s in the Business of Biotechnology with the goal of helping to bring meaningful treatments to the underserved rare disease community. Today, as Operations Manager at N1C, I’m honored to work with this incredible community to help scale individualized medicines.
I look forward to connecting with all of you on Connections! I’m here to foster discussions, guide you to helpful resources, and ensure everyone’s voice is heard. Whether you have questions, need support, or just want to share your experiences, I’m here to help you get the most out of this community. Let’s work together to drive progress!
Great intro Nicole! Thx for sharing!
